Job summary

Lakeshore Management is seeking a motivated Community Manager in Madison, WI to lead operations, drive occupancy, and grow revenue. This exempt role requires balancing sales, operations, and team leadership in a fast-paced environment.

You will oversee budgeting, marketing, leasing, and renewals while ensuring high standards of resident relations and property safety. Travel for training and events is expected; Saturdays may be required.

Qualifications

• 3-5+ years of experience in property management, sales, or operations.
• Prior leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
• Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience working with performance metrics and goals.
• Must be flexible, willing to work Saturdays, and available for on-call/after business hour emergencies.
• Must be flexible and available for travel for company training and events requiring attendance once per quarter, including occasional overnight travel as needed.
• Bilingual in English/Spanish, preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations including budgeting, rent collection, expense control, and vendor management.
• Monitor occupancy, revenue, delinquency, and expense performance.
• Drive occupancy through marketing, leasing, and home sales activities.
• Manage full prospect lifecycle: lead follow-up, appointment setting, tours, and closing.
• Oversee lease renewals and resident retention efforts.
• Lead, train, and develop team members; set expectations and accountability.
• Ensure property is well-maintained, safe, and compliant with policies and regulations.
• Coordinate with maintenance staff and vendors; enforce community rules.
• Oversee home inventory, installations, and capital projects; complete on time and within budget.
