Job summary

Mach9 is seeking a Community Marketing Manager to craft and grow a customer community across online conversations, events, and peer interactions. You’ll design onboarding, moderation, and ongoing activities to keep members engaged and returning.

You will turn customer activity into relatable content, recruit and run events, and help turn members into advocates and referrals. This role blends strategic community design with hands-on execution in a startup environment.

Qualifications

• Experience building or growing a customer, professional, alumni, membership, or interest-based network.
• Evidence of creating repeat participation and sustaining engagement.
• Ability to earn trust and build lasting relationships with specialized users.
• Clear writing and strong communication across online groups, email, social media, and live events.
• Ability to turn customer activity into engaging content.

Responsibilities

• Choose the right home for Mach9’s customer community, then design onboarding, moderation, and activities.
• Build participation by starting useful conversations, answering questions, and turning success into repeatable playbooks.
• Develop customers into advocates, contributors, speakers, and referrals.
• Plan and run recurring meetups, user groups, advisory sessions, and other programs, owning recruitment and logistics.
• Build partnerships with professional organizations to create joint in-person events and grow the network.
• Write customer stories and promote events in newsletters and social content.
• Advocate for customers and relay feedback to product, engineering, and customer success teams.
