Job summary

Southern Management Co. in Silver Spring, MD is seeking a Grounds Person to maintain the community's curb appeal, cleanliness, and exterior appearance. In this full-time role you will perform groundskeeping duties, trash removal, and assist with minor repairs as needed.

You will conduct daily site audits, manage cleaning supply inventories, test smoke detectors in vacant units, and support apartment turnover. Competitive pay and comprehensive benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Maintain cleanliness of all community common areas in accordance with internal quality control standards.
• Ensure sidewalks, parking areas, and building interiors are free of trash and debris.
• Perform daily audits of community grounds and report findings to management.
• Assist with apartment turnover process, as needed.
• Test smoke detectors in all vacant apartments.
• Maintain positive relationships with all team members and customers.
• Contribute to community/company engagement efforts.
• Perform other duties as assigned by manager or supervisor.
