Job summary

RHP Properties is seeking a Maintenance Technician for our property near Dover, DE to perform general grounds and lawn maintenance and basic repairs to homes in the community, for 40 hours per week.

You will handle maintenance tasks, respond to work orders, and interact with residents and staff in a courteous, professional manner. On-call duties and seasonal lawn care are part of the role.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of maintenance experience preferred.
• Maintenance knowledge across plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry is beneficial.
• Must be able to bend, stretch, lift up to 75 pounds and work with limited supervision.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance to ensure homes and community areas are in proper condition.
• Execute assigned work orders and report status to the Community Manager in a timely manner.
• Promote goodwill by interacting with residents, prospective residents, visitors and employees with courtesy and attentiveness.
• Identify deficiencies using established procedures and take action with Community Manager approval.
• Maintain community grounds: weeds, leaves, flowers, shrubs, mulch, hedges, and general lawn care.
• Remove garbage from community grounds and resident sites as needed to maintain appearance.
• Perform snow removal using snow blower, shovel, or plow truck as applicable.
• Notify Community Manager of oversized items or disposal issues.
• Maintain inventories of maintenance equipment and supplies.
