Job summary

Waianae Coast Comprehensive Health Center is seeking a Community Food Programs Coordinator to support the Elepaio Social Services food programs, coordinating school and senior pantry initiatives and assisting with logistics, inventory, and warehouse operations.

Under the direction of the Food Distribution Manager, you will help ensure resources are distributed safely, efficiently, and with dignity, while serving as a connection between pantry sites, volunteers, and community members within

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in community programs, food distribution, warehouse operations, logistics, or related field preferred.
• Ability to safely operate vans, trucks, or delivery vehicles required.
• Knowledge of Native Hawaiian culture and the Waiʻanae Coast community preferred.
• Forklift certification or warehouse equipment experience preferred.
• A valid Driver’s License with clean driving record required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate food distribution logistics and pantry operations.
• Assist with inventory management and warehouse activities.
• Support coordination with pantry sites, volunteers, and community members.

Education

Salary Range: $18.00 To $20.00 Hourly

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Community Food Programs Coordinator supports the daily operations and coordination of ‘Elepaio Social Services’ community food programs, including school and senior pantry initiatives. Under the direction of the Food Distribution Manager, this position assists with food distribution logistics, pantry coordination, inventory management, warehouse operations, and community-based food access efforts. This position serves as an important connection between the organization, pantry sites, volunteers, and community members by helping ensure food resources are distributed safely, efficiently, and with dignity. This position is expected to work within the program directives of the funding source, within the philosophical framework set forth by the ʻElepaio Social Services Board of Directors, and within the existing network of community service providers and natural helpers.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

1. High school diploma or equivalent education required

2. Experience in community programs, food distribution, warehouse operations, logistics, or related field preferred

3. Ability to safely operate vans, trucks, or delivery vehicles required

4. Knowledge of Native Hawaiian culture and the Waiʻanae Coast community preferred

5. Forklift certification or warehouse equipment experience preferred

6. A valid Driver’s License with clean driving record required
