Job summary

Child & Family Service on Kauai is seeking a Program Supervisor I ELP to oversee after-school programs, supervise staff, and coordinate services across contracts. This role conducts weekly case reviews, provides direct youth services, and produces timely program reports.

Requirements include a four-year college degree with 4–6 years of related experience; substitutions possible for the degree. A Hawaii driver’s license and islandwide travel ability are required.

Qualifications

  • Four-Year College Degree from a regionally accredited college; general major; basic knowledge in social work, accounting, finance, business or marketing.
  • Over four to six years of related experience; five years can substitute for the bachelor’s requirement.
  • Significant experience working with at‑risk youth in community, education, or social services.

SUMMARY OF DUTIES

Directs, monitors, and coordinates the services of After School programs and contracts assigned. Supervises staff. Conducts weekly case reviews, supervision, and provides direct services to youth. Composes program reports including quarterly and annual reports in a timely and accurate manner

EDUCATION AND TRAINING REQUIREMENTS
  • Four-Year College Degree from a school accredited by a recognized accrediting agency - general major. Requires basic knowledge or training in a specialized or technical field or trade, such as social work, professional accounting, finance, business administration, and marketing
EXPERIENCE
  • Over four years, up to and including six years.
  • Other: Five years directly related experience might be substituted for bachelors
SPECIAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED

Significant experience supporting and working effectively with at-risk youth in community, educational, or social service environments.

OTHER POSITION REQUIREMENTS
  • This job requires a valid Hawaii driver's license, a clear driver's abstract, and use of personal vehicle to transport clients, as needed, as well as a willingness to travel in personal vehicle on an as-needed basis throughout the island
  • This position is subject to a criminal background investigation, and continued employment is contingent on a record clear of convictions
  • Continued employment in this position is contingent on successful completion of CPR, CPI and/or van driving training as such training is necessary to ensure ability/continued ability to perform essential functions of this job.
  • Continued employment in this position is contingent on successful completion of CPI classes OR other Behavioral Management certification as may be contract-mandated
  • Continued employment in this position is contingent on successful completion of First Aid classes.
