CHAS Health is seeking a dedicated Scheduling Specialist to improve patient access and coordinate real-time in-clinic care. You will act as the first point of contact, schedule appointments, and support seamless patient flow across clinics.

The role emphasizes accurate communication, HIPAA adherence, and collaboration with care teams to enhance patient experience and scheduling efficiency.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent; prior experience in a clinical setting and customer service preferred.
• Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and patient privacy practices is required.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Provides excellent customer service as the first point of contact for patients, determining caller needs, providing information about services, locations, providers, and access options.
• Schedules follow-up appointments and in-clinic scheduling to support continuity of care and patient experience.
• Performs proactive outreach to reschedule missed appointments and manages a patient waitlist.
• Schedules visits in alignment with provider preferences and guidelines, ensuring accurate visit types and interpreter needs.
• Monitors provider schedules and collaborates with care team to fill openings and adjust schedules.
