Comparion Insurance Agency in Cromwell, CT is hiring an Insurance Sales Associate to support a local sales agent in profitable growth through new business and retention. The role emphasizes in-person customer engagement, community networking, and consultative sales.

Unlicensed candidates will receive licensing training with company coverage of materials and exam fees; strong prospects for growth within a Liberty Mutual–backed agency.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• 1-2 years of sales experience preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to handle objections and educate customers consultatively.
• Self-starter with a desire to learn and grow in sales.
• Professional business presence and confidence.
• Team player who contributes new ideas.
• A license or willingness to earn Property & Casualty and Life licenses with training.

Responsibilities

• Use consultative sales techniques to prospect and initiate new business.
• Assist in processing new business, including contacting customers to finalize sales and service.
• Identify cross-selling opportunities for the Sales Agent.
• Contribute to and execute a marketing plan with the Sales Agent.
• Identify mass marketing prospects from existing book of business and community networks.
• Meet monthly goals for new business sales.
• Follow up on new policies to maintain high retention and cross-sell opportunities.
• Coordinate activities with other departments to ensure quality customer service.
• Serve as initial contact for customer policy questions and new account status.
• Unlicensed candidates will join a licensing training program covered by Comparion.
