Job summary

The Hillsboro Public Library is hiring two part-time Digital Literacy Librarians at Brookwood and Shute Park to join a growing five-person digital literacy team. You will help develop programs, build community partnerships, and provide welcoming library service.

You’ll provide routine technology assistance at the service desk, coordinate responsive programs, and connect people with resources that support their ability to navigate technology.

Qualifications

• Public-facing customer service and de-escalation experience.
• Ability to teach digital literacy to individuals or groups.
• Practical technology assistance and troubleshooting experience.
• Program planning and evaluation experience.
• Ability to adapt instruction for diverse languages and abilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide welcoming, responsive service at the service desk and help patrons find information.
• Deliver reference, research, and readers advisory assistance in person and online.
• Build relationships with community members and organizations to identify digital learning needs.
• Develop, coordinate, and evaluate community-focused digital literacy programs with partners.
• Review offerings and refresh programs based on community input.
