Job summary

Journey is seeking an Admissions Coordinator to support referrals, admissions and resident services in our Georgia community. You will collaborate with care teams, families and providers to ensure timely admissions and accurate documentation.

This role emphasizes relationship building, attention to records, and navigation of insurance authorizations, with opportunities to grow within a supportive home office and local leadership.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year in a facility or health care setting with admissions experience.
• Knowledge of insurance coverage and authorization processes for long-term care.
• Demonstrates an understanding of arithmetic and billing basics.

Responsibilities

• Referral management and admissions coordination: manage referrals, communicate with families/providers, obtain prior authorizations, and evaluate prospective residents' finances.
• Administrative and record-keeping responsibilities: maintain admissions/pay status/daily census records and complete admission paperwork using EMR.
• Collaboration and customer service: build relationships with interdisciplinary teams, residents, and families; conduct tours and address inquiries.
