Job summary

Town of Parker is seeking a Fitness & Wellness Coordinator to lead community programs, supervise staff, and manage budgets. The role supports safety, scheduling, and member engagement across recreation facilities.

The ideal candidate will have a degree in parks and recreation, experience in wellness programming, and supervisory leadership, with relevant fitness certifications and a Colorado driver’s license. This on-site role contributes to high‑quality, accessible services for Parker residents.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in parks and recreation management/administration or related field.
• 1 year recreation/wellness programming experience; 2 years supervisory experience.
• Nationally recognized Personal Training and/or Group Exercise certification (NASM, ACE, ACSM or equivalent).
• Possession of a Colorado driver’s license or ability to obtain; safe driving record.
• CPR and First Aid certification; in-house First Responder certification on hire.
• Certified Parks and Recreation Professional within 12 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate, implement, and evaluate fitness and wellness programs and activities for all ages.
• Supervise staff; oversee hiring, scheduling, performance management, staff training, and recognition.
• Assist with development and monitoring of budgets; monitor revenues and expenses; implement cost-control measures.
• Assist with development of personal and group fitness plans; maximize facility use and participation.
• Assist with Run Series operations.
• Ensure facilities, venues, and equipment are maintained in safe condition; coordinate corrective actions.
• Monitor guest and participant satisfaction; respond to community needs and concerns.
• Administer safety and risk management practices; enforce policies and emergency plans.
• Maintain participation records and reports for personal training and group fitness; analyze trends.
• Oversee group fitness scheduling and registration; coordinate website updates; respond to inquiries.
• Assist with brochure/calendar communications for fitness programs.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
