Job summary

The Town of Parker is seeking a qualified professional to coordinate and deliver fitness and wellness programs. This role involves supervising staff, managing budgets, ensuring safety, and supporting registration and facility operations for the community.

You will analyze program performance, track participation, and collaborate with marketing and scheduling to maximize facility use and participation while upholding the Town’s standards of service.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in parks and recreation or related field.
• At least 1 year in recreation/fitness programming with 2 years supervisory experience.
• Nationally recognized Personal Training or Group Exercise certification required.
• Valid Colorado driver’s license; CPR/First Aid certifications preferred or required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates, implements, and evaluates fitness and wellness programs and activities for all ages to support divisional goals within available resources.
• Supervises assigned employees; oversees hiring, scheduling, performance management, staff training and development, discipline and termination, and employee recognition processes.
• Assists with development and monitoring of budgets for assigned fitness and wellness programs; monitors revenues and expenditures; implements cost-control measures; and supports cost recovery objectives.
• Assists with development of personal and group fitness plans and collaborates with divisions, user groups, and community partners to maximize facility use and program participation in alignment with the Town’s mission and strategic goals.
• Assists with Run Series operations.
• Ensures fitness and wellness facilities, venues, and equipment are maintained in safe working condition and coordinates corrective actions as needed.
• Monitors guest and participant satisfaction and responds to community needs, complaints, and concerns to support program quality and retention.
• Administers safety and risk management practices by enforcing departmental policies and emergency response plans and by developing, implementing, and evaluating safety procedures, operating practices, and training programs.
