Southeastern Vermont Community Action (SEVCA) seeks a Financial Empowerment Coach to guide clients with limited incomes toward financial well-being and self-sufficiency. You will coach individuals, deliver classes, and collaborate with Family Services to connect clients to local resources.

This role emphasizes client-centered planning, outreach to communities, and building partnerships with financial institutions and service providers to support goals.

Competenze

• Prior experience with financial coaching, bookkeeping, or related field.
• Knowledge of budgeting, credit building, debt reduction, saving, student loans, and personal money management.
• Sensitivity to challenges faced by people with low incomes; respect for participants' goals and choices.
• Strong organizational and follow-up skills; able to manage a full appointment schedule and keep records current.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Willingness to meet clients in the community; flexible schedule including some evenings and weekends.

Mansioni

• Provide one-on-one financial coaching in person and virtually on budgeting, credit building, debt reduction, saving, and money management.
• Help participants set financial goals and develop practical plans with accountability.
• Create individualized tracking tools and share resources between appointments.
• Research community resources and financial programs to meet participant needs.
• Schedule appointments, send reminders, and maintain a full coaching schedule.
• Plan, prepare, and teach financial education classes for and with the communities served.
