Job summary

Brookdale is seeking a maintenance supervisor to oversee general operating maintenance and repair of the buildings and grounds at one or more community locations.

The role requires supervising maintenance staff, coordinating with safety inspectors, and ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local standards. A high school diploma or GED and 1–2 years related experience are required; a valid driver's license is also needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with 1–2 years related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Valid State Driver’s License required for vehicle travel, as needed.

Responsibilities

• Supervises general operating maintenance and repairs of the buildings and grounds in accordance with federal, state, local standards and company policies.
• Oversees maintenance on HVAC, elevator, fire and sprinkler equipment, generator, landscape, kitchen equipment, and emergency systems.
• Responds to resident repair requests including plumbing, electrical, heating, and lighting.
• Supervises repairs and maintains vacated rooms; inspects completed work for conformance to standards and policies.
• Maintains common area walls, floors, doors, and woodwork; assists in training maintenance staff.
