Job summary

The City of Grandview is seeking a friendly, organized Rental Services Coordinator to join the Parks & Recreation team at The View Community Center. This role serves as the primary contact for customers renting event spaces from inquiry through event-day coordination.

You'll work with customers, staff, and maintenance to ensure rental details are accurate, spaces prepared, and guests receive excellent service. This position blends event coordination, customer service, and administrative work.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to successfully complete background and reference checks.

Responsibilities

• Book event and rental spaces directly with customers.
• Prepare and review rental contracts ensuring information is complete and accurate.
• Answer questions and communicate with rental clients in person and by phone.
• Serve as liaison between customers and maintenance staff to ensure spaces are set up correctly.
• Coordinate event-day check-in and check-out and provide staff with upcoming rental information.
• Serve as Manager on Duty during evenings and weekends.
• Provide front desk coverage when needed.
• Build positive relationships with The View members, guests and staff.
• Assist with daily Front Desk and KidZone operations.
• Respond to customer questions, concerns and account issues.
• Assist with financial reconciliation, installment billing, and CivicRec database management.

Education

High school diploma or equivalent

Two years of college-level coursework in business administration recreation or related field
