Job summary

RHA Health Services, LLC in North Carolina is hiring a Direct Support Professional to provide person-centered support to individuals with disabilities and mental health needs. You will help participants engage in the community, support daily living, and advocate for their rights.

This full-time DSP role includes responsible duties, a pay rate of $18.50/hour and a $2,000 sign-on bonus. You will work with supervision, complete required screenings, and contribute to a respectful, inclusive team

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Compassionate, patient, and dedicated to person-centered support.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to foster independence while providing necessary support.

Responsibilities

• Advocate for individuals’ human, legal, and civil rights.
• Promote health and safety by supporting wellness initiatives and accident prevention.
• Encourage self-advocacy and empower individuals in making their own choices.
• Facilitate community engagement by accompanying individuals to work, recreational activities, and social events.
• Teach and support independent living skills, including household management and personal care.
• Provide transportation for appointments, errands, and community activities.
• Maintain accurate documentation of provided services and support.
