Job summary

Jewish Collaborative Services seeks a Volunteer & Internship Program Coordinator in Providence, RI to lead volunteer and internship opportunities that positively impact older adults, families, and the broader community.

This role oversees recruitment, onboarding, training, placement, supervision, recognition, and retention, including the Friendly Visitors Program to foster connections. It supports communications and outreach through storytelling and engagement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
• Experience coordinating volunteers, interns, programs, or community engagement initiatives.
• Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
• Experience using Microsoft Office and common communication platforms.
• Strong organizational skills with ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating across departments.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all aspects of volunteer and intern engagement: recruitment, onboarding, training, placement, supervision, recognition and retention.
• Provide oversight and support to the Friendly Visitors Program to reduce social isolation.
• Support communications, outreach, and marketing through content creation, graphic design, storytelling, and community engagement efforts.
