Job summary

City of Austin is seeking a seasoned outreach professional to develop and coordinate public information and community involvement programs. You will collaborate with community representatives to identify local needs and plan services, preparing clear summaries for staff and stakeholders.

The role requires handling multiple tasks, strong communication abilities, and the capacity to travel between sites, including evenings and weekends when needed.

Qualifications

• Requires four-year college degree in a related field with three years of relevant experience or a Master's with one year of relevant experience.
• Experience with community stakeholders on behalf of a governmental or corporate entity is required.
• Ability to summarize large volumes of material for city staff and to travel to multiple work locations.
• Willingness to work weekends and evenings and to adapt to changing priorities.
