Job summary

Toole Design Group LLC in Los Angeles, CA, is seeking a Planner to join a collaborative interdisciplinary team focused on safer, more connected communities through multimodal transportation design.

You will lead analyses, manage projects, and engage with clients and communities to move plans from vision to implementation, including fieldwork and outreach across the region. Fluency in Spanish and strong communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in planning or related field is required or equivalent experience.
• Fluent in Spanish for engaging with Spanish-speaking communities.
• Experience with multimodal transportation planning and public engagement.
• Strong project management and written communication skills.
• Proficiency with Excel and descriptive statistics.

Responsibilities

• Lead analyses and manage projects and tasks for multimodal transportation plans.
• Engage directly with clients and communities to move visions to implementation.
• Conduct fieldwork and in-person outreach; travel regionally as needed.
• Contribute to Safe Routes to School, micromobility, and Complete Streets studies.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to center equity, climate, safety, and health in designs.
