Job summary

Toole Design invites a Planner to join the Los Angeles team, contributing to safer, more connected streets through multimodal transportation planning. You will lead analyses, manage projects, and engage with communities to turn visions into implementable plans, including fieldwork and regional travel.

Ideal candidates bring 5+ years in planning or related fields, fluency in Spanish, and strong Excel/ArcGIS skills, with a passion for inclusive outcomes and equity.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of planning-related experience including advocacy, outreach, program management, or policy work.
• Bachelor's degree in planning or related field.
• Fluent in Spanish for engagement with Spanish-speaking communities.
• Experience with multimodal transportation planning, public engagement, and fieldwork.
• Strong written and verbal communication of technical ideas.

Responsibilities

• Lead analyses, manage projects and tasks, and engage with clients and communities to move plans from vision to implementation.
• Conduct fieldwork and in-person outreach, with regional travel as needed.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams on multimodal corridor studies and Complete Streets projects.
