The Community Engagement Specialist will work under the Program Director to represent Career Team in external discussions, promote the regional brand, and build pipelines to raise community awareness and engagement with available services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, public relations, or community organization or development.
• 3+ years of experience in business, marketing, public relations, education, human and/or workforce development services.
• Knowledgeable about the WIOA program and other workforce program requirements.
• Fast-paced environment adaptability with confidentiality.
• Knowledgeable about local region and partners (preferred).
• Ability to work with a culturally diverse customer base.
• Strong attention to detail with organizational, analytical, research and critical thinking skills.
• Computer literate with MS Office, PowerPoint, Canva, Google, and relevant software applications.
• Excellent time management to meet deadlines.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Valid Driver's License.

Responsibilities

• Represent the company in external partner and stakeholder discussions.
• Lead communication and marketing efforts to promote the regional brand.
• Build pipelines to enhance community awareness and engagement with services.
• Engage with employers to plan and build an access point model.
• Follow all funder protocols.
• Coordinate events at American Job Centers and in the community.
• Maintain thorough documentation and reports.
• Foster relationships with community and partners to meet customer needs.
• Lead with strong business acumen and polished presentations skills.
• Communicate across traditional and social channels to boost outreach.
