Job summary

Thrivent Financial seeks an Engagement Leader to develop and execute local community engagement and business development strategies in Chicago and surrounding markets. You will partner with Thrivent Advisors, field leaders, and regional networks to grow awareness, influence, and relationships through targeted engagement activities.

The role requires 3+ years of related experience, strong communication and presentation skills, and the ability to travel up to 50%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or commensurate experience required.
• 3+ years of related work experience.
• Excellent communication skills; able to present and facilitate meetings.
• Experience with remote and hybrid work to support in-person meetings and events.
• Ability to travel up to 50% and flex-schedule evenings/weekends.

Responsibilities

• Drive three main areas: Drive Impact, Partner with advisors, Develop and activate strategic partnerships with churches, non-profits, and business networks.
• Align impact strategies with growth strategies of the field.
• Develop centers of influence relationships to grow Thrivent’s awareness and opportunity.
• Deliver value to clients by supporting advisors to build engagement plans leveraging Thrivent programs.
• Build and execute community engagement plans with local advisors.
• Work with advisors to activate clients as advocates for Thrivent and the advisor practice.
• Grow sales by building local engagement strategies with market leaders.
• Execute local Thrivent Member Network activities to connect advisors with members.
• Raise Thrivent awareness in local communities through programs and events.
• Promote Thrivent career opportunities via engagement activities.
