Job summary

Anthropic seeks a Community Engagement Manager to serve Virginia and West Virginia, acting as a trusted neighbor from site selection through operation. You will bridge Policy and Infrastructure teams with local governments, educational institutions, and community groups to surface concerns early and craft locally beneficial solutions.

Your role emphasizes relationship-building, public forums, and proactive messaging, with a focus on responsible expansion and stakeholder trust across communities

Qualifications

• Experience in community affairs or government relations.
• Direct experience engaging with local governments and stakeholders on large infrastructure projects.
• Ability to translate complex operational plans into plain language.
• Willingness to travel across Virginia and West Virginia.
• Based in Virginia or West Virginia or willing to relocate.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain relationships with local officials and community groups.
• Develop and execute a community engagement strategy for each market.
• Represent the company in public forums, hearings and community events.
• Monitor sentiment and advise on risks and opportunities.
• Collaborate with Real Estate, Infrastructure, Energy and Communications teams.
• Coordinate charitable giving and community investments.
