Job summary

QTS Data Centers seeks a Community Liaison to represent the company in local communities, build trust, address concerns in real time, and support responsible development of our data center projects.

You will engage residents, businesses, officials and groups, organize stakeholder meetings, monitor sentiment, and collaborate with Communications, Government Relations and Field teams to align actions with QTS values and community priorities.

Qualifications

• Five or more years in community engagement, public affairs, or government relations.
• Bachelor’s degree in Public Affairs, Political Science, Communications, or related field.
• Experience partnering with communities in land use or large-scale development.
• Proven ability to collaborate cross-functionally in a fast-paced organization.
• Experience in crisis response and managing public opposition to development projects.
• Demonstrable action-oriented leadership and strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain trustful community relationships across a region.
• Share updates and address community questions and concerns.
• Lead on Community Complaint Management per procedure.
• Attend public meetings and town halls to engage stakeholders.
• Partner with Community Impact Team on priorities and partnerships.
• Support regulatory and permitting navigation with Gov Relations teams.
• Collaborate with Communications to tell the QTS story and engage local media.
• Update Community Assessment tool to guide engagement strategy.
• Provide insights on community sentiment, stakeholders, priorities and risks.
• Maintain an up-to-date stakeholder map.
• Lead annual stakeholder engagement planning.
• Adhere to tracking and reporting engagement activities.
