The Arc Northern Chesapeake Region is hiring a Community Living Coach-DSP to support individuals in a respectful, person-centered environment. You will assist with personal care, daily living skills, and transportation to activities while adhering to state and agency policies in Maryland.

Responsibilities include documenting daily activities, coordinating scheduling, and supporting Plans for individuals with developmental disabilities.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Two years' experience in a residential setting preferred.
• CNA/GNA certification preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certifications preferred.

Responsabilités

• Uphold the organization’s mission and person-centered philosophy to empower people supported to live, work, and thrive as desired.
• Assist with personal care such as toileting, feeding, hygiene, and related needs.
• Help with daily living skills including meal planning, shopping, grooming, job skills, home maintenance and cleaning.
• Guide individuals in following specific dietary guidelines when applicable.
• Model good hygiene, appropriate dress, and respectful social interaction in home, community, or work settings.
• Assist with scheduling and transportation to community events, worksites, and appointments.
• Maintain residence cleanliness and safety; complete daily documentation (logs, medication, behavioral).
• Administer medications timely when applicable and notify nursing staff of concerns.
• Provide financial guidance such as budgeting, planning, banking, and related documentation.
• Assist in developing, guiding, and executing Plans (IPs) and ensure adherence to Behavioral Plans.
• Report abuse and neglect immediately and complete incident reports as needed.
• Support peer training of new team members and be open to required training.

Formation

High School Diploma or equivalent

CNA/GNA Certification preferred

CPR and First Aid Certifications preferred
