Job summary

The Boys & Girls Club of the Austin Area (BGCAA) is seeking a seasoned Director of Club Operations to lead site operations, program delivery, and staff supervision across multiple clubs in the Austin area. The ideal candidate has at least 3 years of Boys & Girls Club management experience, strong organizational and communication skills, and the ability to manage budgets and drive program quality under tight deadlines.

TX 21 Grant experience is highly desired.

Qualifications

• Four-year degree from an accredited college or university.
• Minimum of three years previous management experience in a Boys & Girls Club or similar youth development organization planning and supervising activities based on the developmental needs of young people.
• Ability to communicate ideas effectively to the public.
• Ability to deal effectively with members in all types of situations, including discipline problems.
• Demonstrated ability in working with colleagues, youth, parents, and community leaders.
• Working knowledge of budget preparation, control, and management (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Plans and oversees the administration of club-wide programs and activities that support BGCAA's Youth Development Strategy.
• Implement objectives consistent with organizational goals and mission.
• Oversee the provision of day-to-day program activities in accordance with established standards and goals.
• Ensure that members are encouraged to participate in a variety of program areas/activities and receive instruction and constructive feedback to develop skills.
• Oversees provision of guidance services to members to assist them in fulfilling and making appropriate choices in educational, personal, physical, social, emotional, vocational and spiritual needs.
• Demonstrates leadership to assure the safety and development of members.
• Monitor and review organization-wide program goals monthly to ensure compliance and organizational success.
• Attend regular management meetings.
• Participate in development, implementation, and monitoring of the Club's annual budget, ensuring programs stay within guidelines.
