Job summary

Coconino County in Flagstaff is seeking a Marketing and Community Relations professional to promote county services, programs, and initiatives, coordinate community engagement strategies, manage events, and build partnerships with community groups and partners.

The ideal candidate brings a bachelor's degree in marketing/PR/communications and at least 3 years of professional experience; must obtain Arizona driver's license and be willing to work outside normal hours for events and emergencies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required and 3 years of professional experience in marketing, public relations, communications, sponsorship/grant solicitation, or equivalent.
• Must obtain an Arizona driver’s license by hire date and be able to work outside normal hours for meetings or emergencies.
• Experience coordinating events, partnerships, and community outreach is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develops and executes strategic community engagement efforts to increase understanding and awareness of County programs, initiatives and services.
• Designs and implements branding strategies that reflect County goals.
• Leads and manages volunteer cultural Councils.
• Coordinates County representation at community events and engages with partners.
• Plans, organizes, and executes special events and community engagement activities.
• Oversees contracts, agreements, and vendor coordination related to events and projects.
