Job summary

Turner Construction Company is seeking a Community and Citizenship program coordinator to support UBE initiatives in Augusta, GA. The role partners with Procurement to promote UBE opportunities and track participation across projects.

The ideal candidate will have 3+ years in community programs, strong organizational skills, and proficiency with Microsoft Office. This on-site role involves minimal travel and collaboration across multiple teams.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree or higher; min 3 years related experience
• Majors include Liberal Arts, Communication, Marketing, Sociology, Public Affairs, Social Outreach, or similar
• Passion for community-based programs with volunteerism or community experience
• Skilled at planning, reporting, and scheduling
• Exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, timely documentation
• Resourceful, problem-solving skills, and data analysis
• Effective verbal and written communication
• Ability to work in non-structured environment with minimal oversight
• Approachable, proactive, and professional attitude
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; intermediate Excel; database applications
• Minimal travel

Responsibilities

• Knowledgeable of BU goals and C&C pillars to assist in development and implementation of C&C programs and initiatives.
• Work with Procurement to communicate UBE programs and maintain records; report goal utilization metrics; compile directory and certification log; attend outreach events.
• Collaborate with project staff to track first and second tier UBE participation for metrics reporting.
• Assist with development, coordination, data gathering, and report generation of educational programs and other initiatives in support of UBE advancement and Youth and community service activities.
• Attend events and meetings with organizations that support and promote UBE programs and Diversity and Inclusion within Trades.
• Research local social and economic issues and trends in support of Community & Citizenship plans.
• Support Business Development processes and provide relevant information to assist in sales pursuits.
• On projects with Workforce Development goals, assist project teams to track diverse and local residents within Trades.
• Other activities, duties, and responsibilities as assigned.
