Planned Parenthood Pasadena and San Gabriel Valley, Inc. is seeking a Community Engagement Specialist to build trusted relationships with AANHPI communities in the San Gabriel Valley and Northeast Los Angeles.

You will connect individuals and organizations to accurate sexual and reproductive health information and care, ensuring language access and trust. The role supports PPPSGV Public Affairs and advocacy efforts, with outreach, events, and multilingual messaging to reduce abortion stigma and

Qualifications

• Experience building relationships with community members and partners.
• Comfort presenting to groups and one-on-one about sensitive health topics.
• Language skills in Cantonese, Mandarin, or Vietnamese are desired; strong literacy preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain relationships with AANHPI communities and serving organizations.
• Plan and attend community events to share information about services.
• Deliver culturally and linguistically responsive workshops and conversations on sexual health and access to care.
• Create and communicate culturally responsive messaging in non-English languages common to the community.
• Gather community feedback to shape programs, services, and advocacy.
• Coordinate with partners to build PPPSGV presence and advocate for reproductive rights.
