Job summary

Los Alamos County Library seeks a Program Specialist for the Community Engagement Team, focusing on adult programming. You will plan, market, facilitate, and evaluate monthly programs, including series, under supervision by the Senior Librarian of Community Engagement and in collaboration with Youth staff.

The role supports events, develops multi-generational programs, and helps with library-wide marketing, newsletters, and social media.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
• Another qualification: two years’ experience in planning events.
• Experience developing, promoting, and/or implementing successful events.

Responsibilities

• Plan, market, facilitate and evaluate monthly adult library programs, including stand-alone events and series.
• Support special events and multi-generational programs.
• Assist with library-wide marketing tasks and coordinate newsletter content.
• Contribute to social media content and cross-team programming efforts.
