Harnett County Library seeks an Adult Services Outreach Coordinator to expand access to library resources for adults in the community. The role develops outreach strategies, collaborates with organizations, and delivers programs promoting lifelong learning and enrichment.

The position focuses on underserved adults, provides reader’s advisory, and coordinates offsite events, with an emphasis on accessibility and digital literacy.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in library science or bachelor’s in adult education or related field.
• Proven experience in adult services, community outreach, or a similar role.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills for diverse adults.

Responsabilités

• Identify and assess needs of adult populations and design outreach programs.
• Engage with community organizations, senior centers, and local institutions.
• Develop and implement outreach strategies to reach underserved adults.
• Represent the library at events and deliver sessions on resources and literacy.
• Coordinate adult programming and offsite events; partner with community groups.
