Job summary

University of Nevada, Reno Extension seeks a Community Based Instructor 3 to lead community education programs and 4-H style camps. The role includes budgeting, scheduling volunteers, and supporting health aging initiatives in Las Vegas and surrounding communities.

You will coordinate indirect outreach like campus tours, health fairs, and open houses while assisting the Healthy Aging Initiative coordinator in achieving program goals.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent education with 3+ years in agriculture, horticulture, community development, health and nutrition, human and family development, or natural resources.
• Valid driver’s license required at appointment and ongoing.
• Food Handler Safety Training Certificate.
• Fingerprint/background check required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver direct education classes in the community and camps.
• Obtain memorandums of understanding and manage program budgets.
