Zusammenfassung

The University of Nevada, Extension’s 4-H Program is recruiting for a Community Based Instructor 3. This position is located in Las Vegas, Nevada.

You will deliver direct education classes in the community, build memorandums of understanding, manage program budgets and schedule volunteers. The role also supports 4-H camps for older adults at Camp Alamo, assists with indirect outreach activities such as campus tours, health fairs and senior events, and reports to the Healthy Aging Initiative

Qualifikationen

• Graduation from high school or equivalent education and three years of relevant work experience in areas such as agriculture, horticulture, community development, health and nutrition, human and family development, and natural resources in urban and rural areas.
• An equivalent combination of education and experience as described above.
• A valid driver’s license is required at the time of appointment and as a condition of continuing employment.
• Food Handler Safety Training Certificate.
• Fingerprinting/background check required as part of the process.

Aufgaben

• Deliver direct education classes in the community.
• Obtain memorandums of understanding and maintain program budgets; schedule volunteers.
• Serve as a camp instructor and camp team member for 4-H camps for older adults at Camp Alamo.
• Implement indirect education activities through campus tours, open houses, and health fairs.
• Support senior events and coordinate with the Healthy Aging Initiative (HAI) coordinator to achieve goals.
