Job summary

Helpful Hearts Health Services Inc. is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) to support individuals in our Community Development Services (CDS) program in Baltimore, MD. The role requires a high school diploma or GED, at least two years of DSP experience, and the ability to travel with individuals in the community.

Schedule: Mon–Sat, 9:00 AM–5:00 PM, Full-Time. Responsibilities include implementing the PCP, promoting independence, documenting services, and ensuring health and safety.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 2 years of DSP experience preferred.
• Must meet background check requirements and Maryland DDA requirements.
• Must have CPR/First Aid, CMT, MandT, and Core DDA trainings.
• Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Support individuals in participating in meaningful community activities.
• Assist with developing communication, social, independent living, and daily living skills.
• Promote person-centered care, independence, dignity, and inclusion.
• Implement the Participant Centered Plan (PCP) and support strategies.
• Assist with community outings, recreation, and skill-building opportunities.
• Provide supervision and ensure health, safety, and well-being of individuals.
