Qualifications

• Requires valid CDL or CLP with school bus and passenger endorsements.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Background check, Clearinghouse, and compliant MVR.
• Previous experience driving a school bus preferred but not required.
• Paid behind-the-wheel training provided to qualified candidates with current CLP.

Responsabilités

• Safely drive a school bus on designated routes to pick up and drop off students.
• Follow all LCT policies, procedures, and safety standards, including Pre-Trip Inspection and Smith System concepts.
• Arrive at Base on time and prepared for routes (typically: 5:00–7:00 a.m. and 1:00–3:00 p.m.).
• Maintain logs and reports, including mileage, fuel consumption, and student counts.
• Communicate effectively with parents, scholars, teachers, and colleagues.
• Demonstrate leadership, enthusiasm, and professionalism on and off the road.
• Keep the interior and exterior of the bus clean and presentable.
• Motivate and support fellow team members.
• Protect confidentiality and be respectful.
• Attend all safety meetings.
• Solve problems using integrity, respect, and grace.
