Job summary

Thrive Restaurant Group in Spearfish, SD is seeking a bartender to create a welcoming bar atmosphere while serving and interacting with guests, mixing alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks as well as food.

You will handle opening/closing side work, garnishes, and guest checks; you will use the POS system and contribute to a friendly, fast-paced service environment. Pay includes tip credit minimum wage plus tips; experience in hospitality is valued.

Qualifications

• Able to operate blenders, frozen drink machines and other bar equipment.
• Stands during the entire shift.
• Reading, writing, basic math and verbal communication skills required.

Responsibilities

• Mixes ingredients such as liquor, soda, water, and fruit juice to prepare alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.
• Interacts verbally with bar guests creating a friendly and upbeat atmosphere.
• Serves food and drinks to all bar guests.
• Completes assigned opening and closing side work.
• Slices fruit and vegetable garnishes for drinks.
• Presents guest checks to bar patrons and handles transactions.
• Relays food orders to the kitchen via the POS system.
• Processes employee and/or manager food orders.
