Job summary

State of Louisiana seeks a Community Development Policy and Program Coordinator to implement programs, select and fund grants, and plan policies. The role oversees staff and coordinates LCDBG, EPA, and RHP funds with state and federal partners.

The incumbent will prepare annual reports, interact with federal officials, and ensure compliance with federal and state regulations. Appointment is AS-619 pay grade, with competitive state benefits.

Qualifications

  • Seven years of experience in community development, contracts or grants management, urban or regional planning, disaster recovery, or legal research; OR
  • Six years of full-time work experience in any field plus four years of experience in community development, contracts or grants management, urban or regional planning, disaster recovery, or legal research; OR
  • A bachelor's degree plus four years of experience in community development, contracts or grants management, urban or regional planning, disaster recovery, or legal research; OR
  • An advanced degree in business administration, public administration, or a Juris Doctorate plus three years of experience in community development, contracts or grants management, urban or regional planning, disaster recovery, or legal research.

Responsibilities

  • Prepares LCDBG Program information for reporting to HUD.
  • Prepares Recovery Housing Program plans and reports for HUD.
  • Oversees five-year strategic and annual operational plans for the office.
  • Prepares FFATA reports to ensure public access to federal awards.
