Job summary

AltaMed Health Services Corporation is seeking a Community Dental Home Educator to lead oral health education for students and community members and to connect participants with dental school–based programs. You will collaborate with the Field Operations team to run classes on a range of dental topics.

The role requires a high school diploma, with a Bachelor’s degree in Health Science or related field preferred (or 5 years of related experience).

• Bilingual (Spanish/Vietnamese/Mandarin) preferred due to population served.
• Valid BLS certification or higher required.

Job Overview

The Community Dental Home Educator is respo nsible for facilitat ing oral health education for students and community members and supporting the linkage of care to dental school - based programs. The Community Dental Home Educator work s with the Field Operations team to conduct dental education classes on various dental-related topics.

Minimum Requirements

• High school diploma required .


• A Bachelor’s Degree in Health Science or related field with an emphasis in Community Health Education is highly preferred or 5 years of experience minimum in a related field/position.


• Bilingual (Spanish/Vietnamese/Mandarin) is preferred due to the population being served.


• A minimum requirement of a valid BLS certification or higher, following the American Heart Association (AHA) or the American Red Cross guidelines.

Compensation

$25.00 - $29.32 hourly
