Job summary

AltaMed Health Services Corp. is seeking a Community Dental Home Educator to lead oral health education for students and community members in an in-person setting.

You will help connect participants with dental school-based programs and work with the Field Operations team to run diverse education sessions on dental topics. The ideal candidate holds a high school diploma, a health-science degree or related field, and a valid BLS certificate; bilingual skills are a plus to serve the diverse

• Bachelor's Degree in Health Science or related field with emphasis in Community Health Education preferred, or 5 years related experience.
• Bilingual (Spanish/Vietnamese/Mandarin) preferred.
• Valid BLS certification or higher per AHA/Red Cross guidelines.

Job Overview

The Community Dental Home Educator is responsible for facilitating oral health education for students and community members and supporting the linkage of care to dental school-based programs. The Community Dental Home Educator works with the Field Operations team to conduct dental education classes on various dental-related topics.

Minimum Requirements

• High school diploma required.
• A Bachelor's Degree in Health Science or related field with an emphasis in Community Health Education is highly preferred or 5 years of experience minimum in a related field/position.
• Bilingual (Spanish/Vietnamese/Mandarin) is preferred due to the population being served.
• A minimum requirement of a valid BLS certification or higher, following the American Heart Association (AHA) or the American Red Cross guidelines.

Compensation

$25.00 - $29.32 hourly
