AltaMed Health Services seeks a dedicated Community Dental Home Educator to lead dental education for students and community members, connecting them with school-based programs. You will work with the Field Operations team to run classes on diverse dental topics, promoting access to care.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, a health science degree or equivalent experience, and may hold a BLS certification. Bilingual abilities are valued to serve our diverse community.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Health Science or related field with emphasis on Community Health Education preferred or 5 years of related experience.
• Bilingual (Spanish/Vietnamese/Mandarin) preferred due to the population served.
• Valid BLS certification or higher per American Heart Association or American Red Cross guidelines.

Job Overview

The Community Dental Home Educator is responsible for facilitating oral health education for students and community members and supporting the linkage of care to dental school-based programs. The Community Dental Home Educator works with the Field Operations team to conduct dental education classes on various dental-related topics.

Minimum Requirements

• High school diploma required.
• A Bachelor’s Degree in Health Science or related field with an emphasis in Community Health Education is highly preferred or 5 years of experience minimum in a related field/position.
• Bilingual (Spanish/Vietnamese/Mandarin) is preferred due to the population being served.
• A minimum requirement of a valid BLS certification or higher, following the American Heart Association (AHA) or the American Red Cross guidelines.

Compensation

$25.00 - $29.32 hourly
