Job summary

VOALA is seeking a Driver to perform scheduled delivery and pick-up routes, transport program participants and staff, and deliver meals to outlying programs. This on-site role requires a California driver’s license, clean driving record, and one year of delivery or passenger driving experience in Los Angeles, CA. Fingerprint clearance is required.

Qualifications

Must be able to pass fingerprint clearance and background checks.
Ability to work under emotionally stressful conditions with vulnerable clients.

Responsibilities

Transports program participants to and from various locations such as human service sites and medical facilities.
Assists passengers with wheelchairs, car seats and mobility devices.
Ensures passenger safety and operates vehicle safely at all times.
Drops off meals and assists kitchen staff with inventory and loading.
Performs scheduled routes for pick up and drop off.
Conducts donation pickups from outside agencies.
Maintains trip records as well as mileage and fuel usage records.
Maintains program vehicle in good operating condition and handles routine maintenance.
Performs other duties as assigned.
