Job summary

Volunteers of America Los Angeles (VOALA) seeks a Driver/Cook to prepare and package meals for delivery to program sites across Los Angeles County. When not delivering, you will assist in food preparation, support kitchen sanitation, and manage inventory.

This on-site role requires a California driver’s license, food handler certification, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. You will load and unload meal cargo, maintain equipment, and ensure safe, properly stored meals while upholding VOALA’s

Qualifications

• Six Months experience as a delivery driver
• Health screening at the time of employment
• California Driver’s license in good standing, good driving record and insurance in force.
• California Food Handler certification. (Must obtain within 90 days of hire)
• First Aid/CPR certification and other certifications are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver packaged meals to remote program sites across Los Angeles County.
• Assemble, pack and properly place meals and ensure appropriate temperature levels.
• Maintain food inventory and prepare food supply orders.
• Maintain program vehicle and delivery equipment in safe condition.
• Prepare, cook and serve breakfast, lunch and dinner for on-site and delivery sites.
