Job summary

MultiCare Health System is seeking a Designated Crisis Responder to join the crisis team in Lakewood, WA. The role focuses on responding to psychiatric crises in community settings with interventions aimed at reducing hospitalizations and supporting patients with mental health services.

The position requires a Master's degree in a behavioral health field, WA credentials under HB 1724, a valid WA driver's license, and successful background checks.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in a relevant behavioral health field.
• Must hold WA State Mental Health credentials as defined under HB 1724.
• Valid Washington State driver's license and acceptable driving record.
• Approval, clearance and background checks from correctional facilities and jails with annual checks.

Responsibilities

• Provides crisis intervention services to individuals in their homes, residential placements or other environments.
• Develops and communicates treatment and safety plans to resolve crises and support networks.
• Acts as liaison between the mobile outreach team and the Behavioral Health Organization (BHO).
• Develops relationships with community resources to divert individuals in crisis from inpatient care.
• Collaborates with other BHO services and state agencies to coordinate care.
• Provides testimony and advocacy with courts and other agencies as needed.
