Job summary

Greater Lakes Mental Health, part of MultiCare’s Behavioral Health Network in Lakewood, WA, seeks a Designated Crisis Responder to join the crisis team. You will respond to psychiatric crises in the community, perform interventions, and support patients with mental health services.

Requirements include a Master's in a related field, WA credentials per HB 1724, a valid WA driver’s license, and background checks. Travel within the community, collaboration with BHO, and safety focus are essential.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, Psychology, or a related behavioral health field.
• Must hold WA State Mental Health Professional credentials per HB 1724 (various licenses).
• WA driver's license with acceptable driving record; annual background checks may apply.
• Background clearance from correctional facilities/jails referring to crisis team.

Responsibilities

• Provides crisis intervention services in clients' homes, placements, or other environments.
• Develops and communicates treatment and safety plans with supports.
• Acts as liaison between mobile outreach team and BHO; coordinates care.
• Develops community resources to divert crises from inpatient care.
• Collaborates with BHO services and state agencies; provides testimony as needed.
