The Florida Department of Corrections seeks a Parole/Probation Specialist for Circuit 03 Columbia and Madison. The role focuses on managing intake and processing of offenders under community supervision, with emphasis on accurate data entry into OBIS and comprehensive record maintenance.

This is an on-site, non-telework position requiring interpretation of sentencing documents, data verification, and coordination of orientation programs, to support public safety and rehabilitation efforts.

Formación

• Must possess a high school diploma or its equivalent.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license.

Responsabilidades

• Manage day-to-day intake and processing of offenders placed or released on community supervision; ensure accurate data entry into OBIS.
• Interpret, code, and enter sentencing documents into CDC and OBIS databases; utilize tools like Automated Correctional Task System and Felony Offense Coding Manual.
• Obtain, research, and verify offender data to establish initial computer records for new commitments and assist in orientation programs.
• Screen criminal records through NCIC/FCIC and other databases; prepare detailed prior records for new intakes.
• Coordinate and monitor community service activities and assist with job needs and program assignments; ensure offender photos for the department’s website.
