Job summary

MARATHON STAFFING GROUP in Queen Creek is seeking a part-time, temporary Chef/Cook Instructor to lead community cooking classes. You will teach hands-on sessions, demonstrate techniques, and create engaging learning experiences for participants of varying skill levels.

Ideal candidates are 18+, hold ServSafe and Food Handler Certificates, have cooking and teaching experience, and can prepare ingredients and recipes for 1–2 classes per month, roughly four hours per class.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• ServSafe Certification and Food Handler Certification required.
• Previous cooking and food preparation knowledge.
• Teaching or instructional experience preferred.
• Ability to demonstrate techniques clearly and manage groups.

Responsibilities

• Lead hands-on cooking classes for community participants.
• Demonstrate techniques, recipes, and food preparation methods.
• Provide engaging instruction and answer questions.
• Prepare ingredients, equipment, and supplies for each class.
• Develop/modify recipes and create ingredient lists.
• Maintain a clean, safe kitchen environment.
• Create a welcoming experience for participants of varying skill levels.
• Follow food safety and facility guidelines.
