Flour Power Kid’s Cooking Studios: Mesa-Gilbert is hiring part-time studio instructors for fall classes starting in early August. You will lead hands-on cooking activities for children and families in a fast-paced environment, following prepared lesson plans and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Instruct cooking lessons and follow lesson plans for all ages and events.

• Set up and clean kitchens and work tables for each class or event.
• Collaborate with team to improve customer experience and event flow.

Studio Instructor PT

Flour Power Kid’s Cooking Studios: Mesa-Gilbert is looking to hire part-time instructors for fall classes beginning in early August. At Flour Power Cooking Studios: Mesa-Gilbert, we create unforgettable experiences through cooking, creativity, and fun! We’re looking for energetic, reliable team members who enjoy working with children and families in a fast-paced, hands-on environment. Responsibilities may include assisting with cooking classes, camps, parties, event setup, customer service, cleaning, and helping create a positive, welcoming atmosphere for every guest.

Responsibilities include:

• Instructing cooking lessons and following lesson plans for all ages and events including; parties, special events, weekly classes, and holiday/school break camps, independently at times
• Workingpatientlyandhands-onwith children and adults
• Delivering a fun and positive experience for children & adults
• Ensuring a safe and clean environment before, during and after all classes/events
• Setting-up and cleaning-up kitchens and work tables prior to and after each class/event
• Keeping strong control of the learning environment at all times
• Collaborating with the Flour Power Mesa-Gilbert team of instructors and providing thought suggestions to improve the customer experience
• Additional duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Experiencing delivering educational experiences or instruction to children and/or adults
• Exceptional experience cooking and baking
• Ability to be on your feet and walking around the room for multiple hours at a time
• A strong desire to work with children and adults in a teaching environment
• Ability to ensure the delivery of a superior level of customer service, effectively communicating and resolving concerns.
• Ability to work and function in ateamenvironment
• Strong ability to read and follow direction to demonstrate lessons
• Possess an energetic, outgoing, positive attitude with other staff members and customers
• Highly motivated, self-driven with the ability to work independently and hands-on with individuals of all ages
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to multi-task, keep on task, and highly skilled in time-management
• Ability to work mid-week Tue-Thur in mornings and early evenings beginning early August
• Reliable transportation and on time arrival for each shift

Experience:

• 2+ years cooking experience (can be in home)
• 2 +years working with children (strongly preferred)
• 2+years experience in commercial kitchens cooking and/or baking (preferred)
