Job summary

The NYC Department of Design and Construction is seeking a Project Coordinator for the Borough Based Jails (BBJ) Program. The role serves as the main contact with project stakeholders, including community groups, across planning, scoping, design, and procurement phases at multiple sites.

You will evaluate plans, monitor schedules, help keep costs within budget, and liaise among Design-Builders, DDC, and BBJ CCL offices to ensure alignment with program objectives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with two years of community work experience or equivalent.
• Or high school diploma plus six years of community work experience.
• Equivalency with at least one year of relevant experience may apply.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with project stakeholders including community groups and CCL offices.
• Evaluate project plans, follow up on schedules, and keep stakeholders informed.
• Liaise among Design-Builders, DDC, and BBJ offices across multiple sites.
• Maintain comprehensive project history files and assist with documentation.
