Job summary

SEEC Corporation in Rockville, MD is seeking a Community Connector (Personal Support) to assist individuals with developmental disabilities during morning and evening shifts. The role requires compassion, reliability, and the ability to work in a team to implement person-centered plans and ensure safety.

You will help with personal care, coordinate transportation, research community resources, and support participation in events.

Qualifications

• Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or similar field in nature.
• Creative, person-centered, detailed oriented, self-starter, capable of multitasking, familiar with Montgomery County.
• Have previous experience in community-based residential 24 hours 7 day a week program(s).
• Valid driver's license, a clean DMV record, and must have your own reliable transportation.
• Microsoft and other computer skills is required.

Responsibilities

• Implement the person-centered plan to support people in achieving outcomes and goals.
• Aid the person you will support with personal care, medical, behavioral, or safety needs.
• Research for community resources and other resources (education, spiritual, leisure, transportation, medical).
• Facilitate successful participation in events, including staff training, community education, technology, and resource development.
• Collaborate with Team Coordinators and staff to arrange transportation and accommodations.
