Job summary

MissionCare at Bennington is seeking a part-time Community Concierge for evening and overnight shifts (4pm-12am and 12am-8am) with weekend coverage. The role emphasizes implementing safety programs to safeguard residents and staff in a skilled nursing facility.

Responsibilities include sign-in logs, room checks, safety status forms, and coordination with Social Services. A minimum of one year security experience is preferred, with ability to interact with ill and elderly residents in a diverse

• Familiarity with skilled nursing facilities is preferred.
• Must be able to relate to and work with ill, disabled, elderly, emotionally upset, and sometimes hostile individuals.
• Must be able to manage multiple tasks and work with diverse disciplines.
• Must be able to speak and write English.

Responsibilities

• Maintains sign in/ sign out log. Ensures visitors and residents sign in and out.
• Performs full and random house/ room searches to identify predispositions and LOAs.
• Facilitates room change procedures/ checks.
• Ensures safety status forms are utilized and status updates are appropriate.
• Coordinates with Social Services for safety checks upon resident admission.
• Resident gatekeeper, ensuring residents without privileges do not leave the facility.
• Performs wander guard and window checks.
• Notifies appropriate department when special security instructions are received.
• Reports known or suspected incidents of fraud or resident abuse to the Administrator.
• Maintains high level of customer service, greeting visitors and directing to appropriate places.

The primary purpose of this position is to implement and uphold the facility’s safety programs in accordance with federal, state, and facility standards, guidelines and regulations, and as may be directed by the Administrator, to assure that resident and employee safety can be maintained through appropriate safety measures.
